How do you determine your pricing?

We believe in transparency and providing our clients with fair and competitive pricing. Our pricing is based on the actual time and effort we dedicate to each project. We understand that every project is unique, and the pricing may vary depending on its complexity and specific requirements. Our goal is to deliver high-quality design solutions that align with your brand/business and objectives, all while ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Here’s how our pricing process works for Brand Design and Web Design projects:

  1. Initial Consultation: We offer a free consultation to understand your project requirements, goals, and timeline. During this discussion, we gather the necessary information to provide you with an accurate estimate.
  2. Project Evaluation: Our team carefully evaluates the scope of the project, including the complexity of the design work, the number of deliverables, and any additional services required, such as web hosting, photography, or copywriting.
  3. Time Estimation: Based on the project evaluation, we estimate the number of hours it will take to complete the project. This includes brainstorming, research, concept development, revisions, and finalisation.
  4. Hourly Rate: We have a standardised hourly rate that reflects the expertise, experience, and quality we bring to the table. Our rate is competitive within the industry and ensures that you receive excellent value for your investment.
  5. Detailed Proposal: Once we have determined the estimated time required for your project, we provide you with a detailed proposal that outlines the scope of work, deliverables, timelines, and the associated costs. In some cases, the proposal will outline options to consider and choose between.

For smaller jobs, such as one-off designs, we use an abbreviated version of the above process.

We take pride in our transparent and fair pricing approach, which allows us to deliver exceptional design solutions while respecting the value of your investment. If you have any further questions regarding our pricing or would like to discuss your specific project, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

I already have enough business without good brand design or a professionally designed website, why should I consider using your services?

While it’s great that you currently have enough business, it’s important to consider the long-term success and growth of your business/brand. Success with your business goals today does not assure that same level of success tomorrow. The world is changing and becoming more sophisticated and new competition may arise at any time. Younger generations (Y & Z, but not exclusively) are increasingly engaging with and choosing brands they connect with, and that trend is only going to increase. Strong brand design and web design can play a crucial role in maintaining existing customer loyalty as well as attracting new customers, expanding your reach, and differentiating yourself from competitors or others in your field. Even if you have a steady flow of business now, investing in branding and a professional website can help you maintain your success and potentially open up new opportunities. It’s always wise to plan ahead and ensure that your business is well-positioned for the future.

What do you mean by business/brand or brand/business?

When we use the term “business/brand”, we really mean the public identity of any group, person, product, service, event, or even location. Each of these types of identities either is already a brand or can be developed into a brand.

We try to minimise the use of the term “brand” on its own through our website and marketing material as some people or business owners don’t see themselves as a brand or have a clear understanding of what a brand is, and may not initially understand that we refer to all types of businesses and all other forms of public identities (as listed below). Businesses make up a large portion of our target audience, so we combine the word business with brand to assist in the understanding that we are referring to all businesses. Yet more completely we mean all public identities that are either already a brand or want to develop their public identity into a brand.

So, what we really mean when we say brand/business is:

  • All types of businesses
  • All types of organisations and non-profits
  • Personalities (Personal Brands)
  • Artists
  • Musicians or Music Groups
  • Products
  • Services
  • Events
  • Locations or Destinations
What is Brand Design?

Brand design refers to the process of creating and shaping the visual identity of a brand. It involves the strategic development and application of various design elements and assets to represent a brand consistently across different channels and touchpoints. The goal of brand design is to create a distinct and memorable visual identity that resonates with the target audience and effectively communicates the brand’s values, personality, and purpose. It includes logo, typography, colour palette, marketing message and secondary design or style elements that all come together to create the overall brand design as a cohesive whole.

Why is Brand Design important?

Brand design is important for several reasons. A strong brand identity will help build trust and credibility with your target audience, inspire engagement and connection with the brand/business, increase brand recognition, as well as differentiate your brand/business from competitors or other brands of the same type.

We have also found that in addition to this that a strong brand design can also inspire its owners in numerous ways and foster morale amongst employees and others that work with the brand.

What is the process for establishing brand design?

The process for creating a brand design typically involves several stages, including research and discovery, conceptualisation, design development, and finalisation. Our team works closely with our clients to understand their brand values, goals, and target audience, and uses this information to craft a unique and impactful brand identity. More information on our brand design process can be found on our Brand Design page.

What is a target audience?

A target audience is the specific group of people or demographic that a brand, product, service, or message is intended to reach and resonate with. Identifying and understanding your target audience plays a vital role in directing and shaping the most effective marketing and promotional strategies for your needs. It enables you to determine the appropriate language, visuals, and communication style that resonate with and connect to your target audience, maximising the impact of your efforts.

What is engagement or “to engage with a target audience”?

Engagement refers to the level of interaction, involvement, or connection that individuals or customers have with a brand, content, or marketing campaign. It goes beyond passive observation or awareness and signifies active participation and interest.

The importance of engagement lies in its ability to foster a deeper connection between the brand and its target audience. Engaged customers are more likely to develop a sense of loyalty, trust, and affinity towards the brand, leading to increased brand advocacy, repeat purchases, and positive word-of-mouth recommendations. Engagement also allows marketers to gather valuable insights and feedback from their audience, enabling them to refine their strategies and deliver more personalised and relevant experiences.

Ultimately, a high level of engagement indicates that the marketing efforts are resonating with the target audience, capturing their attention, and creating meaningful interactions that drive desired outcomes.

What is the benefit of having a professionally designed logo?

Firstly, we are going to define a professionally designed logo, as one that successfully captures the essence of your business/brand and creates a strong appeal and connection to its target audience. We make this distinction because while all graphic designers can design logos, not all of them have knowledge, wisdom and experience to ensure the logo resonates with essence of the brand/business and its target audience.

While all logos can assist in brand/business recognition, having a professionally designed logo as we have defined it offers immense value to any brand/business. It creates the basis of a unique brand/business identity that is tuned into the essence of what the business/brand is about and aims to captivate and appeal to its audience. It is through style, symbolism, typography and colours that a professionally designed logo aims to visually communicate both tangible and intangible messages.

When designed in this way, your logo adds credibility and professionalism to your brand/business, making customers trust you more and want to engage with the brand/business. Moreover, a great logo has the power to evoke emotions and create a strong connection with your target audience. Overall, investing in a professional designed logo will yield to you benefits and value, both short and long term, that far exceed the dollar value invested.

What is the benefit of having a professionally designed website versus a DIY solution I could do myself?

A professionally designed and developed website provides you with numerous benefits, some of which are not obvious when compared to DIY solutions. A professional web designer is able to bring their expertise in brand design to ensure the brand/business is properly represented in its online format. They can control every element on the page and tweak and optimise the overall design and layout with the eyes of experience and expertise and ensure the presentation looks amazing all devices and screen sizes. That results in a polished, professional appearance that adds credibility to your brand/business.

While there are some practical uses for DIY solutions, for many brand/businesses the limitations of these solutions will hinder efforts to maximise the impact of your message on its audience. This results in limiting people’s interest in the content you are providing, limiting sales, or booking of a service etc. These limitations and the resulting issues they cause are not always obvious to the brand/business owner, and this can result in a decision to use a cheap solution that won’t produce the results you want.

To elaborate, some of the limitations that DIY solutions have are: layout and display issues arising from incorrect settings, not being able to implement your brand design properly to ensure continuity, layout limitations, bloated and structurally flawed underlying code, no consideration for maximising Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), user having lack of design skills to increase impact of content, and more.

Some people get a buzz of creating a website themselves and we get that, but if website design and development is not an area you have absolute expertise in then there is bound to be aspects of the process that you overlook. DIY website solutions have a purpose, they are there for people to use when that just can’t afford or justify the cost of using the expertise of professionals, such as personal websites, hobbyists and some fresh startups with low budgets. But not you, your brand/business has a great value to offer, and it deserves the investment of having a expert’s design and develop it and make it an amazing website that does justice to the brand/business, its message and its audience.

If you genuinely value your business/brand, take it seriously and involve a professional team like Positive Promotions to custom design and develop your website and ensure your brand/business makes the impact it deserves and that you reach your goals.

What is custom web design, and what is the process involved?

With our expertise, you’ll have a visually striking and user-friendly website that effectively represents your business online.

Once we have gathered some initial information from you, we focus on designing concepts as static images for you to review, and with your feedback we make any changes to the design until you are completely happy with what the website will look like. We typically provide around 3 initial concepts showing a range of focussed options for your review and feedback. It is only after the overall design of the site is approved that we move forward with the development, this way you will see what the end result will be early in the project and you can guide the end result with your feedback during this stage.

By opting for our custom web design solution, you can have a website that not only visually represents your brand/business but also effectively engage your target audience, provide a seamless user experience, and reach your goals and objectives.
